Where Fire Stampede 2 Sits in the Range

Three games now carry the flaming bison, and this is the middle one. It doubled the ceiling, improved the RTP, and somehow made the top prize harder to reach than either of the other two.

Wild Streak Gaming put it out on 25 August 2025 under the Pragmatic Play banner. The grid keeps the same 5-5-3-5-5 arrangement with 1,875 ways, and Connect and Collect still does all the work. What changed sits in the bonus round, where wilds now carry multipliers.

The demo above costs nothing, which is the sensible way to meet a game with numbers stretched this far apart. Numbered sequels have a habit of moving the headline further than the reality, and Lucky Tiger 1000 plays much the same trick with its title.

How to Play Fire Stampede 2

Fire Stampede 2 runs six reels and five rows, though not all of it is playable. The top and bottom of reel 3 and the whole of reel 6 carry special prize positions, which leaves regular symbols in a 5-5-3-5-5 shape and 1,875 ways to win.

Symbols are the familiar set. Royals from 9 to A occupy the bottom of the paytable, with cacti, birds, gold nuggets and the bison above them. Wilds substitute for everything except the Connect and Collect symbol.

  • Card ranks 9 to A: the low end of the paytable
  • Cacti, birds, nuggets and bison: the premiums, with the bison paying most
  • Wild: substitutes for all regular symbols, but never for Connect and Collect
  • Connect and Collect: lands on ordinary positions across reels 1 to 5
  • Special positions: the whole of reel 6, plus the top and bottom of reel 3

Chains build left to right from reel 1, linking horizontally or vertically, and they must reach a special position to pay anything. Miss by a single position and the chain is worth nothing, which is the tension the entire range is built on.

Picking a Bookmaker for Fire Stampede 2

Fire Stampede 2 takes stakes from 0.25 to 250, roughly R4.20 up to about R4,200. The buy costs 100x, so R420 at the floor, while the bonus arrives naturally about once in 138 spins.

Given how remote the top prize turns out to be, this suits long cheap sessions far better than big swings. Easybet fits that with low minimums, and the Easybet review covers the deposit side.

Gbets carries the Wild Streak catalogue in full. Playabets completes the trio, with the licensing detail in our Playabets company profile.

Bet ceilings differ by book, so our Pragmatic min and max bet guide is worth a glance, and the South African casino reviews hub covers the rest of the market.

Multiplier Wilds and the Connect Chain

Connect and Collect behaves in Fire Stampede 2 exactly as it always has. A chain of linked symbols reaches a special position and claims whatever sits there: cash values, extra wilds, respins, free spins, or one of the named jackpots.

The Grand is still 4,000x, reached by connecting to the Grand symbol on the rightmost reel. That figure has not moved since the first game, so the higher ceiling must be coming from somewhere else entirely.

That somewhere is the bonus round. Wilds won from special positions during free spins carry x2 or x3 multipliers, and multiple wilds combine their values into a single running multiplier. Stack enough of them and the maths climbs quickly.

Extra free spins can also be won from the rightmost reel, so a strong round extends itself. This is the one genuine improvement over the original, and it is a real one.

Random awards changed as well, though not for the better. The first game could drop its 4,000x Grand at random on any base spin. Here that is gone, replaced by random Connect and Collect symbols, wilds or bison appearing on the reels.

The buy costs 100x and runs at 96.52% RTP, a whisker above the base game. Our no deposit free spins page is the cheaper way to see the round.

Multiplier stacking of this kind is familiar ground. Candy Blitz Bombs adds its multipliers together in much the same fashion, while Gates of Olympus 1000 accumulates them across tumbles instead.

The Hardest Max Win of the Three

Fire Stampede 2 posts a good RTP at 96.51%, with 95.56% and 94.43% builds also circulating. Check the paytable at your book before settling in.

  • Grid: 6 reels by 5 rows in a 5-5-3-5-5 shape, 1,875 ways to win
  • RTP: 96.51% default, with 95.56% and 94.43% builds circulating, and 96.52% on the buy
  • Volatility: high, rated 5 out of 5
  • Max win: 8,300x the bet, at roughly 1 in 57,471,264 spins
  • Hit frequency: 26.53% of spins
  • Free spins frequency: 1 in 137.77 spins
  • Odds of 1,000x or more: about 1 in 173,340 spins
  • Grand prize: 4,000x the bet, unchanged from the first game
  • Bet range: about R4.20 to R4,200 per spin, converted at roughly R16.80 to the dollar
  • Feature buy: 100x the bet · no ante bet
  • Released: 25 August 2025 by Wild Streak Gaming for Pragmatic Play

Now the number that actually matters. The 8,300x cap is nearly double the first game’s, yet it lands roughly once in 57.5 million spins against about 1 in 12 million for the original. The ceiling rose and the odds got close to five times worse.

That also makes this the hardest of the three to max out. The later Ultimate edition carries a bigger 12,500x cap and still reaches it about once in 34.5 million, so the middle game is the one asking most while paying out least often.

The useful figure sits elsewhere. A win of 1,000x or more turns up around once in 173,340 spins, which is a target worth actually holding in your head. For a game that is upfront about punishing odds rather than burying them, Tombstone R.I.P. makes the honest comparison.

Familiar Prairie, Familiar Symbols

Fire Stampede 2 has redrawn almost nothing. The same fiery bison charges along the left beneath the jackpot ladder, the same golden prairie stretches away behind it, and the symbol set is identical to the first game’s.

That is a fair complaint and a mild compliment at once. The art was good enough to reuse, and the jackpot ladder stays the clearest thing on screen, which matters in a game entirely about reaching prize positions.

Audio does the same job as before, all hooves and open country. It runs well on a phone, although the special reel on the right gets cramped on smaller screens.

Sequel, or Side Step?

Fire Stampede 2 improves the bonus round, then hides the reward behind the longest odds in the range.

The multiplier wilds are the reason to play it. Wilds carrying x2 and x3 that combine into one running multiplier give the free spins a ceiling the original never had, and extending the round from reel 6 makes good rounds better still.

Losing the random Grand stings more than it sounds. The first game could hand you 4,000x on any base spin for no reason at all, and that quiet possibility has simply been removed.

The Grand itself never moved either. Still 4,000x, so the doubled cap comes purely from stacking multipliers in the bonus rather than from a bigger jackpot.

Then the odds. One in 57.5 million for the maximum is the worst of the three games, harder than the Ultimate edition despite a smaller ceiling, which is a strange place for a sequel to end up.

So play it for the bonus round and the 1,000x band rather than the headline, keep stakes low given how rarely the big one lands, and treat the 100x buy as entertainment rather than strategy.
