Sugar Rush 1000 Review and Demo
Sugar Rush 1000 arrived from Pragmatic Play in March 2024, and it reworks a familiar candy board into something far punchier. The 7×7 grid still pays through clusters, yet the ceiling climbs steeply. Because of that, this sequel targets players who want a bigger swing.
You can try the free demo above before staking a cent. Spin it, watch how the multiplier spots build, and get a feel for the tumbling reels. Meanwhile, the play-money version behaves exactly like the real thing on mechanics.
Here is the honest up-front read. The variance sits at the top of the scale, so quiet stretches happen often. Still, when the multiplier map fills during free spins, the swings turn genuinely dramatic. Manage that risk carefully.
How to Play Sugar Rush 1000
Wins land when five or more matching symbols connect horizontally or vertically. After each win, the involved candies vanish and fresh ones tumble down. So a single spin can chain several times, and every clear refreshes your shot at another cluster.
The clever twist is the multiplier spot. When a win covers a board position, a x2 multiplier attaches there. Then it doubles on each later win at that same spot, climbing all the way to x1,024 per position. However, several active spots on one win get summed together first.
- Low symbols: the coloured jelly beans and hard sweets that form most everyday clusters.
- High symbols: the wrapped candies, which pay noticeably more for the same cluster size.
- Scatter: three or more anywhere award the free spins, where the spots persist all round.
- Multiplier spot: a x2 marker that doubles per win at its position, up to x1,024.

Sugar Rush 1000 Features
Free spins drive the whole experience. Land 3, 4, 5, 6 or 7 scatters and you bank 10, 12, 15, 20 or 30 spins. Crucially, every multiplier spot you earn stays locked for the entire round, so the board keeps compounding.
Because the spots persist, a busy free spins run can stack real firepower on a handful of positions. When a fresh cluster then lands on those spots, the summed multipliers do the heavy lifting. That is where the 25,000x max win actually becomes reachable.
If you prefer instant access, the bonus buy costs 100x for standard entry or 500x for the super version. There is no ante bet here. For the calmer original, revisit Sugar Rush, or try the newer Sugar Rush Super Scatter. Fans of the boosted tier also enjoy Gates of Olympus 1000.
Bets, RTP and Volatility
The numbers set clear expectations. This is a high-variance cluster slot, so bankroll discipline matters more than usual. Read the core specs below before you decide on a stake.
- Provider: Pragmatic Play
- Release date: March 2024
- Grid: 7×7 cluster pays, minimum cluster of five connected symbols
- RTP: 96.53%, with 95.50% and 94.50% configurable versions
- Volatility: High, rated 5 out of 5
- Max win: 25,000x your stake
- Bet range: about R3.30 up to R3,940 per spin
- Feature buy: 100x standard, 500x super, no ante bet
One honest note on the naming. The “1000” refers to the boosted per-spot multiplier tier of roughly x1,024, not the top prize. The actual max win is 25,000x, which is five times the original ceiling. Against the calmer Sugar Rush, that top figure stays very rare, so treat it as a distant dream rather than a target. The base game hits on about 34.5% of spins.

Graphics and Sound
The presentation stays bright and cheerful, with a glossy 7×7 candy board set against soft pastels. Jellies wobble as clusters pop, and the tumbling animation keeps the action flowing. So the screen feels lively even during ordinary spins.
The soundtrack bounces along with an upbeat, sugary loop. Meanwhile, chimes swell as multiplier spots climb, which nicely signals building tension. It is not subtle, yet the audio matches the sweet theme perfectly.
The Verdict
Sugar Rush 1000 delivers exactly what its name promises in feel, if not in maths. The persistent multiplier spots create genuine excitement inside free spins, and the raised cap adds a bigger dream.
However, the high variance cuts both ways. You will ride long dry spells, so patience and a firm plan matter. Casual players may prefer the gentler original, while thrill-seekers will love the extra ceiling.
